V Festival 2006 (KASABIAN)

V + me = O! M! G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was dreading it with the camping and the porta potties and the being dirty, but how wrong was I!? It was incredible! I almost cried when we left on Monday morning... =(

OK, So heres where the blog begins...

Jonny suggested that we left his house at 11.00 - 11.30am Firday morning because of the traffic. He said if you leave any later it can take up to 4 hours to get there! So me being me, was late of course! We got to Jonny's at 11.00am, but we had to go to Loughborough, Millets, to get wellies and stuff. So we did.... Got back to Jonny's packed, then we left at 1400 hours. Sainsburys.... Food for the junk food addcits (mainly me)
But its all good. Cause Jonny found FOOtos in Shirley's Bedroom.
This is a busy roundabout, we were stuck here for ages! We put Hot Club De Paris on really loud, wound the windows down and sang even louder, then looked at all the discusted faces with the obscenities that were oozing from my car. Then we laughed!

The road to V. These were The Bombay Bicycle Band, and very talented. They're well young, but produced some good sounds.
A little bit of blue sky, Jonny's optimism yesterday may have paid off!?
The Saw Doctors! Used to love these as a kid, it was good to see them live!

They say that the V Festival is a posh fetival this nob proved it! Chinos a striped shirt and a bum bag!
She was a tiger girl! Not a lion girl!
The Young Knives! They didn't play rollerskater, but played some other cool stuff. Very silly, very good! It was good to see them live at last!

Bloc Party from a far! They were shit! We stood at the back in order to dash off and get to the front of the Channel 4 stage ready for We are Scientists.
The Cardigans. They were on before W A S, they only damaged my pride and ears with 1 or 2 songs.

What the hell is that!? Sunshine? Late afternoon on Sunday.

Beck! WOW! He had puppets of himself and the rest of the band that mimmicked everything they did. It was an awesome performance. Again we watched from a far in order to catch the end of the Editors and get to the front for Kasabian.

And we did!!!! Here is the Editors.

This one however is my favourite. I took hundreds of photos. I deleted loads last night and still had a grand total of 642!!! Im like the god damn papparazzi me!
THEY were clapping US for their encore! Tom is no longer a twat! Total respect for the guy now, they were better than I could of ever imagined! Better than any live act Ive seen, ever!! And I ve seen some good bands and lots!


Its all over! boo hoo...
But I managed to get one last shot! I panicked and shook, hence the blur but its still pretty damn good!??
This is me and my face after I had seen Kasabian (I know I look foul but its gotta be seen)! What the hell just happened?? Shit they were good!
As me and Jonny were walking back to the tent prasing Kasabian, and their incredible musical talents, I told him to shush. It was Radiohead Creep. So we ran well fast to the main stage and caught the last bit, I took this photo whilst running but again its good!
A little midnight feast! I decided, due to how hyper I know was, that I would sing a song really loud that would get the whole camp site singing. I tried many, Lulu, shout and I even did the yeah bit at the start! Then lots of other crap. Some girl kept shouting at me saying she was 'trying to get some fucking sleep'. Big mistake! That made me sing louder still! I finally found it, the song that would get people singing too. Its a personal favourite of mine that I sing really good and just like her! It was 4 Non Blondes, Whats up! Yeah! Mission acomplished, time for bed....
Monday morning, we packed up and left, I was sad, really sad! Im never taking my band off! EVER! We stopped at the services for poo's cause the toilets were nasty on camp. Had some Burger King goodness, the pissing ice cream machine was broke! Burger King is shit!
